New Delhi: The expected announcement of an alliance between the BJP and Asom Gana Parishad has been postponed following the death of a close relative of an AGP functionary on Wednesday morning.
The announcement was to be made by BJP's prime ministerial candidate LK Advani and BJP president Rajnath Singh at noon. Sources said, the postponement became inevitable following the death of brother of Vishwa Mohan Das, a top AGP leader.
The sources did not say when the next announcement regarding the alliance would be made.
