In fact, a survey conducted by YouGov revealed a clear shift in the travel preferences of Indian travellers. About 94 per cent expressed their preference for sustainable travel options closer to remote communities and nature.
Furthermore, two-thirds said they would prioritise connecting with local communities and actively contributing to their development. This shift highlights the relevance and appeal of homestays, signifying a growing demand for meaningful and conscious travel experiences.
