New Delhi: Eight months after first launching it for Android users, WhatsApp has finally extended its web client for the iPhone users.
The web client allows one to continue their WhatsApp conversations on the webpage, but it is not a standalone app.
A report on VentureBeat notes that the feature isn’t available to all the users just yet and is being rolled out in phases.
The web client works in conjunction with the mobile app. A user needs to visit the webpage to scan the barcode after which the browser mirrors conversations from the mobile device in real time. If the mobile connection drops, the web client stops working too.
A Twitter user posted a screenshot of the web feature.
