The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist exam 2024. The exam will be held on will be held on June 22 next year. Those interested and eligible may apply for the exam on the official website, upsc.gov.in. The last date to apply is October 10.
“It is essential for the applicant to register himself/herself first at One Time Registration (OTR) platform, available on the Commission’s website, and then proceed for filling up the online application for the examination. OTR has to be registered only once in life time. This can be done anytime throughout the year. If the candidate is already registered, he/she can proceed straightway for filling up the online application for the examination,” read the official notice.
Following the registration process, candidates will be allowed to edit their application form between October 11 and 17. Eligible candidates will be issued an e-Admission certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination.
UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Exam 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in applying for the posts must have completed masters degree in the relevant subject. A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the first day of the month of January of the year in which the examination is to be held.

UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Exam 2024: Application Fees
A registration fee of Rs 200 is required to fill out the forms. Female candidates, and those belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories are exempted from paying the fees.
The exam will be held in three stages — preliminary, main exam, and personality test or interview. Through the exam, UPSC will recruit candidates for posts in the Ministry of Mines.
