A teacher and student duo from Bengaluru secured All India Rank of 2 and 3 in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2024. Both rank holders got the 99.99 percentile, but the student secured the second rank due to better performance in the legal section, reported Times of India.
Rahul Palakurthy who is a teacher at Career Launcher Institute in Indiranagar secured rank 3 while his student Pradhyot Shah, a class 12 student got rank 2. The teacher who has been training students for the law entrance exam, said that this was the third time he had taken the CLAT exam.
“I take exams to plan for better teaching strategies for students and be updated with the exam patterns. The competitive exams can never be predictable, and the right approach is needed to crack them in the given time. For teachers, writing such tests will also help them to introspect their teaching methods to students,” he told the publication.
CLAT 2024 was conducted on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 2 PM to 4 PM at 139 Test Centres in 25 States and 4 Union Territories across India. The final answer key has been released and candidates can raise objection till December 12. This year, a male student from Rajasthan has topped the exam with 100 percentile. While five male and one female student have scored 99.99 percentile.
CNLU has also released the counseling process for CLAT 2024. The application process for the counselling session has begun today and will continue till December 20. To secure a seat, candidates from the general category will have to pay Rs 30,000. Candidates from the ST, SC, OBC, BC, EWS, and PWD categories are required to pay Rs 20,000.
The first seat allotment list will be released on Dec 26 at 10 am, the second seat on Jan 8, and the third seat allotment list on Jan 22. The fourth seat allotment list will be declared on May 20 and the fifth and final one on May 28.
