In their first home game of the Indian Super League (ISL) season, Mumbai City FC clinched a narrow 2-1 victory against Kerala Blasters FC on Sunday, October 8 at the Mumbai Football Arena. The match witnessed a feisty clash between the two sides in the final few minutes. Multiple yellow cards and red cards were even brandished during the match. A video of the ugly fight has now gone viral on social media. In the now-viral clip, a few players can be seen attacking each other.
It was basically the final minutes when the players got involved in pushing and shoving, rather than displaying a good show of play. As the players got involved in an ugly fight, the referee can be seen intervening at the end.

While the game ended with a victory for Mumbai City FC, the post-game violence did leave football fans quite disappointed.
Coming back to on-field developments, held on Sunday, the ISL game exhibited Mumbai City FC’s sheer domination. It was Lalengmawia Ralte and Jorge Diaz who helped Mumbai City win its first home fixture of the ISL season. While the initial phase of the match proceeded in a smooth manner, the tempers flared up in the final moments, resulting in sending-offs from both sides.
