The release date of Dia Mirza, Ratna Pathak Shah, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanjana Shaikh is finally here. Backed by Taapsee Pannu’s production house, the one-of-a-kind entertainer is all set to release on October 13, this year. Sharing the big news, “Taapsee took to her social media handle and wrote, My 4 heroes coming to take you along on a journey of their lifetime on 13th OCTOBER 2023, Get the engine revving !!!!! #DhakDhak.”

According to a report in Pinkvilla, “The film is a heartwarming story of four women embarking on a life-changing journey to the highest motorable pass in the world, and promises the audience a visual experience which they must have rarely witnessed on screen before. Taapsee Pannu’s Outsiders Films and Viacom 18 Studios have produced this movie in association with BLM Pictures, while debutant Tarun Dudeja has directed it from the script co-written by Parijat Joshi.”
The film’s story revolves around four ordinary women who come together for an extraordinary journey of emotions, adventures, and discovery on a bike trip from Delhi to Khardung La. It explores how this journey changed their destinies forever.
In an old interview, Taapsee Pannu talked about the new project and said, “At Outsiders Films we aim to produce films that are meaningful and entertaining. We have attempted to give audiences a visual experience that they have rarely seen on screen. Dhak Dhak narrates the story of four women who realise that freedom has to be owned and never given. Viacom18 Studios has been a crucial part of my journey in the film industry, from Chashme Baddoor, Shabaash Mithu and now to Dhak Dhak. In Viacom18 Studios and Ajit, we have a partner who has a great foresight towards differentiated cinema. I am sure that this ride will be an enriching one.”
On work front, she has three movies lined up including Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki, Aanand L Rai’s Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, and Siddharth Roy Kapur’s Woh Ladki Hai Kahan with Pratik Gandhi.
Produced by Viacom18 Studios and Outsider Films, in association with BLM Pictures, Dhak Dhak is directed by Tarun Dudeja and co-written by Parijat Joshi and Tarun Dudeja. The Film will hit theatres on the 13th of October, 2023.
