Days after Poonam Pandey faked her death, the actress made her first public appearance. On Thursday, Pandey was snapped by the paparazzi as she stepped out in Mumbai. In a video that surfaced on social media, she was seen smiling and waving at the shutterbugs as she seemingly headed to a temple.
Poonam Pandey was seen posing in a yellow suit with a pink dupatta. She ditched accessories and kept her tresses open. “Kaise ho aap sab (How are you all)?” Poonam asked as she posed for the paparazzi. Watch the video here:

This marked Poonam Pandey’s first appearance ever since she faked her death. On February 2 this year, her ‘death’ news was announced in a post shared on her official Instagram handle. However, a day later, the actress came out in a video statement and revealed that she was alive. She argued that the motive of her death news was to create awareness regarding cervical cancer. However, it did not go down well with everyone and several celebrities including Kangana Ranaut and Karan Kundrra lashed out at the actress.
Later, a Rs 100 crore defamation case was also filed against the actress and her former husband Sam Bombay by Faizan Ansari. He accused Pandey of “trivializing the seriousness of cancer and manipulating the emotions and trust of millions” by faking her death and reportedly urged the authorities to arrest her.
Recently, Poonam talked about faking her death when she alleged that many stakeholders took monetary benefit from her stunt. “But what hurt me is that some people benefitted monetarily and drove me into the cause pretext, but I will always stand by it and continue to lend my support, now and forever. But rest is for you all to investigate who made it commercial,” she said in one of her Instagram posts.
