Mumbai Lok Sabha Election: From Discount In Restaurants To Free Yoga Classes, A Look At Polling Day Offers

In an effort to boost voter turnout in the ongoing Lok Sabha election, local administration along with many restaurants, cafes and similar services are coming up with enticing offers on polling days. India has successfully completed four out of seven phases of the Lok Sabha election so far and the remaining are scheduled for May 20, May 25 and June 1.

Many offers have been rolled out to encourage voters to exercise their polling rights in Mumbai, which is going to polls on Monday, May 20.

From Discount In Metro to Free Yoga Classes: A Look At Polling Day Offers In Mumbai

• In an effort to boost voter turnout during polling Lok Sabha elections on May 20, the commuters of Metro Lines 2A and 7 will get a special 10% discount on the voting day. Commuters of Mumbai Metro, utilising Mumbai 1 Card, Paper QR, and paper tickets will enjoy the privilege to travel to the polling stations and return home after voting with a special discount of 10% on a base fare.
• The Mumbai Chapter of the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) has announced a special ‘Democracy Discount’ campaign, offering a 20% discount on total dine-in bills at over 108 fantastic eateries across Mumbai on May 20 and 21 for voters.
• “The initiative is our hospitality fraternity’s way of encouraging citizens to go out and cast their votes. Mumbai has always had such a great sense of community and I am thrilled that we have so many fabulous brands on board as part of the NRAI Mumbai Chapter,” said Rachel Goenka, NRAI Mumbai Chapter Head.
• A Yoga studio has offered free lessons on May 24 for anyone who would click a selfie with their inked finger after casting their vote and post it on Instagram tagging the studio.
