Kangana Ranaut Opens Up On Feeling 'Out Of Place' As She Wraps Up 2023: 'I Never Felt...'

2023 wasn’t easy for Kangana Ranaut. While three of her films Tejas, Chandramukhi 2 and Tiku Weds Sheru hit theatres, all of them failed to leave a significant mark at the box office. As Kangana is now all set to welcome 2024, the actress recently took to her X handle and penned down a thought-provoking note, looking back at her biggest learnings.

In her post, Kangana admitted that there were times she felt “out of place” but added that she is happy and at peace today. “I grew up with an inbuilt feeling of being out of place. I travelled miles and built the homes of my dreams, farmhouses, and cottages. I felt happy, content even at peace but I never felt at home,” she wrote.

“Slowly it started to get evident that may be we don’t belong in this body, life is just a fleeting phase, we must recognise that and never try to be at home. Ever since I acknowledged that I feet at home. This was my learning of 2023, if you too feel out of place and it seems to you that you don’t belong anywhere remember you are on your way home,” the actress added.

Many users resonated with Kangana’s post. One of them wrote, “Wow Kangana! I feel that pulse. I completely get ur msg! Because I’ve been feeling this for several years now and ultimately it’s a boon to have such realizations I’d say! So, go on! We all are on the right track.” Another user shared, “Mine is the same story. Just remove farmhouse and cottages.”

Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Tejas. In the film, she played the lead role of IAF officer Tejas Gill, who is on a mission to rescue an Indian spy, alongside Anshul Chauhan and Varun Mitra. Released in October 2023, the film failed to impress the audience. This year, she was also seen in the Tamil comedy-horror sequel Chandramukhi 2, in which Kangana played the role of a dancer.

Now, the actress has begun working on her next movie in Chennai. She recently shared on social media that the film is a psychological thriller. Even though Kangana did not share much information about the yet-to-be-titled movie, she said that it is a “very unusual and exciting” script.

Kangana also has the highly anticipated political drama Emergency in her pipeline.
