Chennai Super Kings IPL 2024 Schedule: Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will look to defend their title in what looks likely to be charismatic skipper MS Dhoni’s final season with the fabled IPL side.
Chennai scripted history as they claimed their fifth IPL title with a nail-biting win over Gujarat Titans in the summit clash of the tournament in the previous campaign as they levelled Mumbai Indian’s title tally at the very top in the history of the league.
CSK have also roped in multiple big names ahead of the season at the latest IPL auction as they enlisted the services of Daryl Mitchell, Rachin Ravindra, Mustafizur Rehman, in addition to Shardul Thakur, Sameer Rizvi and Avinash Rao Aravelly to their unit in a bid to defend the prized possession yet again in a bid to give the beloved skipper Dhoni a fitting farewell in front of adoring home fans.
The joint-most successful side in the history of the cash-rich T20 tournament will play the curtain-raiser of the upcoming edition of the competition, set to get underway on the 22nd of March, as they welcome neighbours Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore in a blockbuster opening fixture.
Chennai will continue to stay at home as they host previous edition finalists Gujarat Titans at home on the 26th of March.
MS Dhoni’s men will play their first away match of the season at Delhi as they take on the Delhi Capitals on the 31st of March, before travelling to Hyderabad to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on the 5th of April.
