The trailer shows Ranbir Kapoor’s troubled relationship with his father Balbir (played by Anil Kapoor) and how it changes (for better or worse). Ranbir Kapoor’s character has idolised his father ever since childhood but his love has never been reciprocated. It would be fair to say that Ranbir’s villain arc begins at home.

Animal marks Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s second directorial venture in Bollywood, after Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh. Animal marks the first collaboration between Sandeep and Ranbir. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on December 1. The film revolves around the problematic relationship between a father and son.

On the other hand, Alia Bhatt will be next seen in Jigra. Alia announced the film with a video and wrote, “Presenting #Jigra, directed by the extremely talented @vasanbala and produced by @dharmamovies & @eternalsunshineproduction. From debuting in a Dharma production to now producing a film with them, in many ways, it feels like coming full circle from where I started. Every day is a different day… exciting, challenging (and a little scary)… not just as an actor but also as a producer as we bring this film to life, and I CANNOT wait to share more as we move forward.”

Jigra helmed by Vasan Bala and is scheduled to premiere in theaters on September 27, 2024.
