Yogi Babu Confirms He Will Be A Part Of Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer 2

Yogi Babu is one of the busiest and well-known actors in Tamil cinema. It is very rare to see the actor pass a month without a new release. Yogi Babu is delivering more films and he is open to challenging roles. He recently made a revelation that is making news. He confirmed in a recent interview on a YouTube channel that director Nelson Dilipkumar is working on Jailer 2. Yogi Babu is set to share the screen with Rajinikanth for the third time. Yogi Babu refused to confirm whether Jailer 2 will be a continuation of the prequel or not. Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer was one of the blockbuster hits in Kollywood, which once again fetched the mass and class avatar of the actor to the silver screen. Jailer has also shattered records every day at the box office. The movie’s overall quality starting from music to its action sequences, has been incomparable. The movie was made on a budget of 200 crore. Jailer 2 will reportedly begin shooting by the end of this year or the beginning of 2025.

Columnist Manobala Vijayabalan shared an update on Jailer 2 last year. He shared a quote by Nelson Dilipkumar, who reportedly stated: “There are plans to take #Jailer part 2. Also, I’m planning to make part two for #Beast, #Doctor, #KolamaavuKokila. I have also dream to do one film featuring #Vijay & #Rajinikanth together.”

In an interview, Yogi Babu also spoke about his successful collaborations with Nelson Dilipkumar, starting from the director’s debut project, Kolamavu Kokila. While talking about this film, he confirmed that they are teaming up again for Jailer 2, with Rajinikanth repeating his role as Muthuvel Pandian IPS. While Yogi Babu abstained from disclosing specific details about his character or the plot of Jailer 2, he hinted at having an interesting role. In addition to Rajinikanth, in Jailer 2, it is expected to see the return of Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar as Mathew and Narasimha, respectively, with new surprise additions to the star cast.

Yogi Babu also mentioned that he will be playing an important role in Jailer 2 and there will be something new in the film which will be widely discussed.
