The elder brother of veteran actor Kamal Haasan, Charuhasan Srinivasan has been recently hospitalized due to health issues related to his advanced age of 93 years. Meanwhile, his elder daughter, actress, director, producer, and writer Suhasini Maniratnam, has shared a photo with his father. In the picture, Suhasini is seen hugging his father, who is seen lying in a hospital bed.
Sharing the photo, the actress wrote, “Vacation, or do you call it a medical staycation for my father? He’s recovering well. With love and care from doctors, nurses, and daughters.” The post is currently going viral.

Charuhasan Srinivasan is an Indian actor, director, and retired lawyer who has acted in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi films. He won the National Film Award for Best Actor and the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor for the Kannada film Tabarana Kathe (1987).
He has worked in popular films like Kubi Matthu Iyala, Raghuvinte Swantham Raziya, Meendum Oru Kaathal Kathai, Neti Siddhartha, and Dear Comrade, to name a few.
As a director, he also directed two films, Pudhiya Sangamam (1982) and IPC 215 (2003).
Apart from this, his book, Thinking on My Feet: Charuhasan Autobiography, published by LiFi Publications, New Delhi, under the imprint Biog, was released during the New Delhi World Book Fair, in 2015.
Taking about his personal life, Charuhasan was born on January 5, 1931, to lawyer and Indian independence activist D. Srinivasan and his wife Rajalakshmi. He was the eldest son of the couple and more than twenty-three years older than his youngest brother, Kamal Haasan.
Charuhasan has been married to Komalam since 1953 and has three daughters, Nandhini, Suhasini, and Subhasini. Suhasini is an actress and married to film director Mani Ratnam.
Suhasini has worked as an actress in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada films. She made her cinematic debut in 1980 with the Tamil film Nenjathai Killathe. Suhasini then won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in Sindhu Bhairavi in 1985.
She married film director Mani Ratnam on August 26, 1988, and the couple has a son, Nandan, born in 1992.
