Turbo Trailer: Mammootty Steals The Show In This High-octane Drama

Mammootty’s upcoming film Turbo, one of the most awaited Malayalam films of this year is gearing up for a grand release. The trailer of the film was unveiled on May 12. The action-packed trailer features Mammootty in a showdown with popular Kannada actor Raj B Shetty. The film will hit the theatres on May 23. This is Mammootty’s first full-fledged mass entertainer after 2022’s Bheeshma Parvam. Turbo is an action drama that has many fast-paced sequences. On May 12, Mammootty shared the YouTube link of the trailer on social media. The trailer introduces Jose (Mammootty), who is fondly called Turbo Jose by everyone. Then we see impressive action blocks led by Jose. He finds his adversary in a powerful man (Raj B Shetty). They have a face-off and the reason for the enmity between the two is not revealed in the trailer. The black humour in Turbo makes things interesting.

Pulimurugan’s director Vysakh has teamed up with Mammootty once again for Turbo. The script is written by Anjaam Pathiraa and Abraham Ozler director Midhun Manuel Thomas. Turbo also stars Kannada actor Raj B Shetty, Telugu actors Sunil and Anjana Jayaprakash, Kabir Duhan Singh, Siddique, Shabareesh Varma and Dileesh Pothan in the lead roles.

Mammootty was last seen in the lead role in the Malayalam film Bramayugam this year. The horror film, starring the megastar in the lead role, is directed by Rahul Sadasivan and also features actors Sidharth Bharathan and Arjun Ashokan in important roles.

The film is based on elements of Kerala folklore and the mythical creatures and sacred mysteries embedded in the region’s culture. The film also dared to experiment by being shot in black and white and became a big hit on the screens.

The actor has had a fabulous run in the last few years with back-to-back hits. He will next be seen playing the lead role in the stylish action thriller Bazooka, which marks Deeno Dennis’s debut as a writer and director. The film also stars actors Gautham Vasudev Menon, Babu Antony, Gayathri Iyer, Neeta Pillai and many others.
