This Tamil TV Serial Is Topping The TRP Charts With 9.29 Ratings

Tamil television channels have succeded in generating a loyal fan base for themselves. This is mainly because of the many hit daily soaps airing daily on these channels. While all the serials have their fan base, only a few of them manage to secure their position in the list of top daily soaps with maximum Television Rating Points (TRP). With so many channels trying to secure the top spot in TRP ratings, the competition is tougher than ever. The list of the top 5 most-watched serials across various Tamil TV channels has been unveiled. Let’s take a look:

1. Singa Penne (December 22, 2020- Present)- Singa Penne serial premiers on Sun TV and has retained the first spot with 9.29 ratings on the TRP list. Shyam Prasad, Payal Radhakrishna, Arnav, Kutty Padmini and others have been enacting important roles in this series.

2. Kayal (2021- Present)- Actors Chaitra Reddy, Sanjeev Karthick, Gopi, Avinash Ashok and others play key roles in this series. This serial premiers on Sun TV and occupies the second spot with a 9.3 rating on the TRP list.

3. Chinna Marumagal (January 22, 2024- Continuing): This serial comprises the actors Navin Kumar, Banumathy, Praveen Deva and others. It airs on Sun TV and occupies the 3rd spot with 8.12 points on the TRP list.

4. Vaanathai Pola (2020- Continuing): Vaanathai Pola starring the actors Maanya Anand, Shreekumar, Debjani Modak and others occupied the 4th position. This serial has got 8 points on the TRP chart. This show can be watched on the Sun TV.

5. Siragadikka Aasai (2023- Continuing): This serial telecast on Vijay TV is one the 5th position in the TRP charts with 7.94 points. Starring an ensemble star cast of actors Vetri Vasanth, Gomathi Priya, Narasimha Raju, R Sundarajan and Meena. S Kumaran has directed this serial.

Two other popular serials Ethir Neechal and Sundari are now out from the TRP charts. While Ethir Neechal ended on June 8, 2024, Sundari’s second season has received poor reviews from the audience. Users opined that despite a good premise, the serial has a lot of cringe dialogues and scenes which doesn’t suit a nice plot.
