Director SS Rajamouli announced his new series, Baahubali: Crown of Blood, on Tuesday. The filmmaker, who helmed the two-part Baahubali films, took to X and shared a video announcing the title. He also confirmed that the trailer will be released soon. He shared a video along with the announcement which featured the title emerging from the smoke. The video also featured people chanting, “Baahubali.”
Sharing the video, Rajamouli wrote, “When the people of Mahishmati chant his name, no force in the universe can stop him from returning. Baahubali: Crown of Blood, an animated series trailer, arrives soon!” The filmmaker is yet to shed more light about the cast and story. Watch the video below:

This is not the first time that Baahubali has been given an animated spin. In 2017, Rajamouli released a four-season animated series titled Baahubali: The Lost Legends. The series was released on Amazon Prime Video.
Meanwhile, Baahubali broke several records following its releases, not only in India but also on the international stage, including Japan, China and major European countries. Baahubali 2 was directed by SS Rajamouli and amassed a staggering amount of Rs. 1810 crores, securing its position as the second highest-grossing success in the history of the Indian box office. In terms of domestic box office performance, Baahubali 2 has already claimed the leading spot. In 2017, Baahubali 2 revolutionised the landscape of Indian cinema, setting new benchmarks.
Both films have an impressive ensemble cast comprising of talented actors, including Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, and Nassar.
Meanwhile, Rajamouli’s last outing as a director was RRR. The film not only shined in India but also grabbed global attention. The film starred Ram Charan and Jr NTR and the film’s song, Naatu Naatu, won Oscar Award in the Best Song category in 2023.
