Selena Gomez is set to bring the magic back to our TV screens with her upcoming show, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. The singer-actress recently shared details about the show and her character. Selena Gomez and David Henrie will reprise their roles as Alex and Justin Russo, respectively. While David’s Justin will remain the central focus, Selena Gomez is expected to make a guest appearance. Speaking on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the 31-year-old expressed her excitement about returning to the show and eagerly anticipated the audience’s reaction.
Selena also revealed that she will be seen in the very first episode itself. However, it is still uncertain how much of her part will be in the show.

“I will be in the first episode; I’m executive producing it, and it brings me to tears because that is where I started, and to honor it in this way has truly been a blast, and I just can’t wait to release it,” she told her Only Murders in the Building co-star Martin Short as he guest-hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live.
This update follows the release of first-look images of Gomez and Henrie from the upcoming Disney Channel series. The duo originally played Alex and Justin Russo in the original show, which aired for four seasons from 2007 to 2012. The reboot will focus on their adult lives. Justin Russo, now living a normal, mortal life with his wife and kids, is drawn back into the world of magic when his sister Alex brings Billie, a wizard-in-training, to his home seeking help.
“Justin realises he must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World,” states the plot synopsis.
Wizards Beyond Waverly Place will be released on the Disney Channel and Disney+ later this year.
