Sarfira, starring Radhika Madan and Akshay Kumar, is getting closer to its major theatrical premiere. Ahead of this, the makers have released the film’s second track, Khudaya. The qawwali-style song was composed by Suhit Abhyankar, and crooned by Sagar Bhatia, Neeti Mohan and Suhit. Sarfira is slated to release in cinemas on July 12. As stated in the song description, “For the love that stands by every Sarfira."
Talking about the essence of Sarfira, Neeti Mohan told Cinema Express, “Singing ‘Khudaya’ has been an incredibly moving experience for me. The song’s poignant lyrics and beautiful melody truly capture the essence of enduring love."
Composer Suhit too shared his thoughts about the heartwarming track. He said, “Composing and singing ‘Khudaya’ has been a journey of deep emotional exploration. This qawwali holds a special place in my heart."
Sarfira is a remake of the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, starring Suriya. The plot revolves around Veer Mhatre’s desire to create a budget airline for the general public. He must overcome a number of obstacles in order to realize his ambition. It is directed by Sudha Kongara.
The film is produced by Vikram Malhotra (Abundantia Entertainment), Aruna Bhatia (Cape of Good Films) and South celebrities Suriya and Jyotika (2D Entertainment).
Akshay Kumar was last seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, directed by Ali Abbas Zaffar. It also featured Tiger Shroff, Alaya F and Manushi Chhillar. The film was a remake of the David Dhawan blockbuster of the same name. The film failed to strike chord with the audience.
