With only a few days left for the release of Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s upcoming web series Citadel: Honey Bunny, fans are buzzing with excitement. Co-starring Varun Dhawan, the show will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 7. Ahead of the premiere, the actress jetted off to London to attend the special screening of the upcoming series. Post the screening, she also graced an event that was attended by director Raj and writer Sita R Menon. Now, in a new post on Instagram, she has added a bunch of pictures, offering a glimpse of her look.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu was seen posing for some stellar solo clicks in the first few pictures included in her post. However, the final image came with a surprise for fans as it featured her with Raj and Sita, creating a picture-perfect moment. The joy on the trio’s face as they were all smiles was palpable. For the event, Samantha decided to make heads turn in a pastel green ensemble that comprised a tailored co-ord set with a sheer neckline. On the other hand, the writer and director duo went for a casual look. Along with the photos, she wrote, “And it begins. Let’s go CitadelHoneyBunny, HoneyBunnyOnPrime.”
While Samantha Ruth Prabhu attended the screening with other cast members, Varun Dhawan had to skip the same, given his work commitments. Despite not being there, the actor managed to include himself in the team photos and it’s indeed worth appreciation. He edited the image originally posted by directors Raj and DK, placing himself between the director Krishna DK and Samantha. The several iterations of the pictures featured him in versatile avatars including a striped blue red suit, an all-black ensemble and a red suit. In his caption, Varun Dhawan wrote, “London premiere of Citadel Honey Bunny. I was there!! Trailer out in October.”
Citadel Honey Bunny is an Indian adaptation of Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden’s Citadel, released in 2023. Directed by Raj and DK, the spy thriller is set in the 1990s and features Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, Kashvi Majmundar, Saquib Saleem and Sikandar Kher in the supporting roles.
FYI, Priyanka Chopra also attended the screening, given her association with the Citadel Universe.
