In Sara Ali Khan, India has finally found a new-age female actor it can rave about that’s not Alia Bhatt.
Though Sara is wowing audiences with her impressive debut in Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath, her father, actor Saif Ali Khan doesn’t find her confident performance in the film surprising.
Talking to Pinkvilla about her first outing, he said, “She’s amazing. Way better than what I was. I’m so happy for her. This was her choice all the way. She chose this and made it happen. And I thought she was brilliant. A thinking actress who is expressive and inventive in every shot. I see a fantastic future for her."
"She is used to being good at what she loves, but I thank the people for welcoming her and giving her the acceptance that an actor needs," he added.
However, Saif isn’t the only family member raving about Sara. Earlier Kareena and Soha also spoke highly of the 23-year-old.
Praising her, Kareena said, "I am quite sure that the film (Kedarnath) will be a super-hit but irrespective of that, I think she (Sara) is a born star."
Meanwhile, Soha had previously said, "She is confident, talented and she has got the right film to launch her. I think she is going to make a big impact and I wish her all the best.”
Sara will next be seen opposite Ranveer Singh in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, which is slated to release on December 28.
