Excitement is building for the high-energy political thriller Game Changer, featuring Ram Charan and directed by the visionary Shankar Shanmugam. Scheduled for release in December, the film has entered its final production phase with dubbing starting in Hyderabad. The dubbing process began with a traditional puja ceremony, bringing a positive atmosphere to the set. With just 10 days of shooting left, the film is quickly approaching its conclusion, heightening fans’ anticipation for the cinematic experience promised by the first time collaboration of Ram Charan and Shankar. The cast of Game Changer is star studded, featuring Kiara Advani as the female lead. She is joined by a skilled ensemble that includes Anjali, Srikanth, SJ Suryah, Naveen Chandra, Harry Josh, Samuthirakani, and Jayaram in key roles. Adding an intriguing twist to the story, Ram Charan will play both a father and son. It is interesting to note that Shankar shot this film simultaneously with his long delayed project Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan. Shooting two back to back films, and that two from two different industries is a difficult job but Shankar managed it.
After Indian 2 opened to less than favourable reviews from critics and did not perform as expected at the box office, the fate of Game Changer seems a bit rocky now. Even Ram Charan’s last film Acharya had failed at the box office. It remains to be seen whether Game Changer is indeed a game changer for both Shankar and Ram Charan.
Produced by Dil Raju under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, Game Changer contains Thaman’s mesmerising music. The film’s visual splendour is captured by cinematographer Tirru, and Shameer Muhammed is the editor. With a gripping story by renowned director Karthik Subbaraj and powerful dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra, it promises a captivating cinematic experience.
It is known that the film will be released in December, sometime around the Christmas holiday but the exact date has not been revealed yet.
