Raj B Shetty, still riding high on the success of his Malayalam debut Turbo and his Kannada film Roopanthara, is all set to surprise his fans once again with his latest project. The actor and director takes on a completely new role in the upcoming movie titled Rakkasapuradhol, where he will be portraying a police officer. The film, produced by Dr K Ravi Verma and directed by Ravi Saranga, was officially launched on August 16, during the Vara Mahalaxmi festival in Bengaluru.
The title Rakkasapuradhol carries significant meaning, as explained by director Ravi Saranga. Rakkasa translates to demon and Pura means town, reflecting the dual nature of humanity. The movie aims to explore the complex interplay of good and evil within individuals, making it a thought-provoking narrative.
Raj B Shetty expressed his excitement about playing a police officer, a role that is a stark departure from his previous work. The actor is already preparing for the challenging role, and his fans are eagerly awaiting his performance. The first poster of the movie, featuring Raj in his new avatar, has already been released on director Ravi Saranga’s official Instagram page, generating considerable buzz.
Rakkasapuradhol also marks the debut of renowned stunt choreographer Dr K Ravi Verma as a producer. At the film’s launch event, notable director Jogi Prem and his wife, actress Rakshita Prem, were present to lend their support. Ravi Verma shared that Ravi Saranga had previously worked as an assistant director with Prem on films like The Villain, Ek Love Ya and KD The Devil. Impressed by Saranga’s storytelling abilities, Verma decided to collaborate with him on this project.
In addition to Raj B Shetty, the film boasts a talented cast, including Swatishtha Krishna, B. Suresh, Archana Kottige and others. The movie’s technical team is equally impressive, with William David as the cinematographer, Mohan B Kere heading art direction and Arjun Janya composing the music.
