Married for less than a week, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas cannot wait to start their new life together. However, since both of them have busy careers that take them all over the world, the newlyweds have several important decisions to make. But having babies is not one of them right now, they say.
Talking to People about it, Priyanka said, “I always say, ‘Man proposes, God disposes.’ So I’m not taking any chances. We definitely want kids, and when the time is right, it will happen.”
“Let us be married first for a while before we have to make all these big decisions. We’re in our honeymoon period right now and we will be for a very long time,” Nick added.
The two are ready to do whatever it takes to make their inter-continental marriage flourish. Nick said they are “determined to prioritize each other in everything we do and make every day special whether together or apart.”
Priyanka isn’t so worried about the distance though. “Distance can be hard on any relationship, but it has actually made us that much closer,” she said, adding that she and Nick have decided “to speak multiple times a day and try and not go more than two weeks without seeing each other.”
Priyanka and Nick got married over the weekend at Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace in two glorious wedding ceremonies organised as per Christian and Hindu customs by Sandeep Khosla and Aditya Motwane, the founder-owners of Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and Motwane Entertainment & Weddings, respectively.
