Min Hee-jin Claims Fan Meetings Ended After Her Exit As ADOR CEO; HYBE Responds
Min Hee-jin claimed that her dismissal as ADOR's CEO occurred during a NewJeans fan meeting event that was suddenly called off.

A new chapter in the ongoing conflict between Min Hee-jin and HYBE has emerged as the former CEO of ADOR has once again accused the company of sabotaging NewJeans’ activities. According to Min Hee-jin, HYBE unjustly brought a sudden stop to the group’s fan meeting and delayed their album production following her removal from her executive position. In response, HYBE has strongly refuted these allegations, offering its own explanation behind the claims.

On September 26, Min Hee-jin, in an exclusive interview, shared further insights into her strained relationship with HYBE. She revealed to JoongAng Ilbo that her dismissal as ADOR’s CEO took place during a NewJeans fan meeting event that was suddenly called off. The surprise nature of the fan meeting left fans and attendees in shock and Min Hee-jin said the cancellation occurred directly after she was removed from her role.

Min Hee-jin didn’t hold back when describing how the situation escalated, accusing HYBE of suspending NewJeans’ album production in the process. She explained that certain key executives, including deputy executives, were abruptly barred from contributing to the album’s progress. “It’s such a pity. This is also HYBE’s obstruction of business against NewJeans,” she expressed, clearly upset about the halt in the group’s work.

HYBE, however, was swift in addressing these claims. In a detailed response, the company denied that Min Hee-jin’s dismissal had any connection to the suspension of NewJeans’ fan meeting or album work. They clarified that ADOR had been planning to hold the fan meeting at Seoul Worldcup Stadium, but the rental agreement fell through due to the condition of the stadium’s grass.

On September 25, ADOR’s current management also stepped in to clarify their stance regarding NewJeans’ demands for Min Hee-jin’s reinstatement as CEO. The agency made it clear that her return to the leadership position was not feasible, citing that the decision had already been finalised by ADOR’s board of directors, reports Korea JoongAng Daily.

HYBE reportedly went on to reiterate that Min Hee-jin had been offered a new position as an internal director for NewJeans. They also stressed that her role and the terms of her position had already been secured by the board. However, this offer has done little to ease tensions between the two parties.

Min Hee Jin, who had filed an official injunction on September 13 in a bid to regain her CEO position, voiced her deep dissatisfaction with HYBE’s decision. She described herself as being “deeply angered” by the outcome and expressed doubts about whether she would be reappointed as an internal director, pointing fingers at HYBE for holding direct responsibility over the matter.

In addition to her frustration over her role, Min Hee-jin further accused HYBE of downplaying NewJeans’ significant achievements. She went on to claim that the company had been tarnishing her reputation by making unfavourable statements about her through international media outlets. According to Min Hee-jin, HYBE’s actions have not only impacted her career but also the trajectory of NewJeans, a group she has been closely involved with from its inception.
