FRIENDS actor Matthew Perry allegedly took several doses of ketamine drug on the day of his death. According to a statement by the late actor’s assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, to investigators, Perry was at his home in October last year when he took multiple doses of ketamine hours before his death.
As reported by The Guardian, the assistant revealed that Perry took the first dose of the drug at 8.30 am on the day of his death. He watched a movie at his home and asked his assistant for another dose, four hours later. Perry took to third dose of Ketamine just 40 minutes after when he asked for a larger dose. “Shoot me up with a big one,” he said and asked his assistant to get the hot bathtub ready.
After giving a dose to the actor, the assistant went out for some work. When he returned, he saw Matthew drowned in the bathtub. Medical help was called following which the actor was declared dead. It was later reported that the actor died as a result of “acute effects of ketamine” and subsequent drowning.
Five people, including two doctors, have been charged in connection to his death due to a drug overdose. Among these five, a woman named Jasveen Sangha has also been accused of providing the lethal dose of ketamine to the FRIENDS actor which led to his death.
Court documents recently claimed that days ahead of his death, Perry had obtained ketamine through a broker named Eric Fleming. This broken had sourced the drug from Sangha. While Sangha sold drugs to Fleming on October 13, 2023, the latter then provided it to Perry on October 14 and October 24, respectively. It has been alleged that she provided 50 vials of ketamine in two separate deals to Fleming. It has also been alleged that Sangha even included “ketamine lollipops” as a bonus since she was impressed with the large size of Mr Perry’s order.
