MAMA Awards 2024 Dates And Venues Unveiled; Deets Inside
The inaugural night will be hosted at Los Angeles' iconic Dolby Theatre.

The 2024 edition of the esteemed MAMA Awards has been officially announced with fresh dates and venues. According to CJ ENM, the prominent event in South Korean entertainment, will span three days across the United States and Japan. The inaugural night will be hosted at Los Angeles’ iconic Dolby Theatre, followed by the subsequent two nights at Osaka’s Kyocera Dome.

With the US all set to host the MAMA Awards on November 21, 2024, it will also mark its first time in the country since its inauguration in 1999. The event will continue for the next two consecutive dates, November 22 and 23 KST.

Formerly called the Mnet Asian Music Award, the annual year-end music ceremony has been taking place all across Asia, including Singapore, Macao, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Japan, with various themes every time. This year, the concept is ‘Big Blur = WHAT IS REAL?’, through which the audiences will be provided with a surreal experience and visually captivating performances through the convergence of art and technology, states Allkpop.

More details on the awards show and its schedule is expected to be unveiled in the coming months. “The 2024 edition of the MAMA Awards will have a wide array of K-pop performances with visuals and sounds that will make you feel as if you’re in another reality beyond space and time,” said Harry H.K. Shin, head of music entertainment at CJ ENM, as quoted by Variety.

KCON 2024

Earlier, CJ ENM also announced the KCON series of K-pop conventions. KCON Germany 2024 will take place on September 28 and 29, 2024, at Messe Frankfurt, marking its first time being held in Germany as a part of the company’s ongoing efforts to expand K-pop fan and artist festivals to Europe. “We are thrilled to announce that KCON will take place in Germany for the first time for K-pop fans in Europe who have waited a long time. KCON Germany 2024 will be far more than expected, with expanded stages and various programs. We will do our very best to create and provide interactive and immersive experiences between fans and artists,” said H.K. Shin.
