Telugu star Nani is currently looking forward to his upcoming film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, written and directed by Vivek Athreya. This film will be released reportedly at Netflix on August 29. Nani has now piqued the expectations of the film by revealing its pre-release event date at a recent press meet in Hyderabad. The Saripodhaa Sanivaaram actor announced that the pre-release event is scheduled for August 24. The Telugu actor also revealed that he will attend the first-day, first-show screening at Sudarshan 35MM theater in Hyderabad. He asked fans to wear red clothes as a gesture of support.
Saripodhaa Sanivaaram stars Nani as the male lead Surya while SJ Suryah will enact the antagonist Daya. The film also stars Murli Sharma, Priyanka Arulmohan – the female lead – Aditi Balan, Sai Kumar and other actors in key roles. Backed by DVV Entertainment, this film will be released at cinema halls in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam.
Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’s buzz is high in North America as well. According to a report published in the Times of India, the advanced booking of this film is open in over 180 locations. It has amassed a total of US $ 60157 (Rs 49.98 Lakh) by selling over 2,900 tickets.
Nani also dominated the headlines for his comments made on Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi in a press conference for Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. Arshad Warsi had called Prabhas a joker in Kalki 2898 AD. Nani was asked about Arshad’s comment when he called it an “unimportant matter.” “The person that you’re referring to, this must be the most publicity he has got in his life. You are unnecessarily glorifying an unimportant matter,” Nani said as quoted by Indian Express.

Nani last acted in the film Hi Nanna directed by Shouryuv. Mrunal Thakur, Kiara Khanna, Nassar, Jayaram and other actors also acted in this film. Backed by Vyra Entertainments, this film was released on December 7, 2023. Hi Nanna received positive reviews from the audience and is currently streaming on Netflix. Shouryuv received the Filmfare Award South for this film under the Best Debut Director category. The audience also appreciated the on-screen chemistry of Nani and Mrunal.
