If you are someone who likes such content, there is one particular web series which was released in 2021 and stars one of the most talented pan-Indian actresses. The movie’s plot and the star cast’s performance were highly appreciated by the critics and won the hearts of the audience.

Live Telecast, written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, is a Tamil-language horror thriller series. It features pan-Indian actress Kajal Aggarwal, Vaibhav, Anandhi, Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan, Daniel Annie Pope and Priyanka Nair. The movie is currently streaming on Disney plus Hotstar.

Live Telecast is set in the year 2005 and begins with the team attending the success party of the Dark Tales show, where the plot introduces all the characters of the movie.

This horror web series marked the OTT directorial debut of Venkat Prabhu. It is about Jennifer Matthew, a selfish, TRP-hungry woman who is ready to exploit the superstitions of the people to drive her show and offer content to the audience. Jennifer and her production crew try to bring back their show on rank 1 by shooting in a house where demonic activity was sensed by a few. However, things take a turn for the worse when they come to know that the house is haunted and they experience paranormal activity, first-hand.

The web series shows Kajal Aggarwal stepping into a different role and shows her as a grey character with almost no moral compass. Generally, the actress portrays the role of a bubbly or lively character, but in this series, the director brings out her strong personality on the screen, where she is seen heading a team.

In an interview, the Singham actress once shared her excitement to be a part of the show. She said that as an actor, one should be very versatile. She believes that in films they can’t do much, but in web series, there is a lot of opportunity to showcase the talent. She expressed her gratitude for getting to work with Venkat Prabhu as she marked her OTT debut with Live Telecast.
