Ketan Mehta All Set to Make an Animated film on Rudyard Kipling's Novel Kim
According to him, India is getting close to Hollywood style when it comes to making animation films.

Mumbai Filmmaker Ketan Mehta has revealed he is working on an animated movie, based on noted author Rudyard Kipling's novel Kim.

"I am planning to make an animated film. It is an international film on Rudyard Kripling's novel called Kim. It is about a child and his adventures," Mehta said.

Kipling was an English journalist, short story writer, poet, and novelist and his prominent works of fiction include The Jungle Book, Kim and others.

The director will make some changes in the script. "We are working on the script. It's a 100-year-old story, so we will be making substantial changes to suit the sensibilities of the audience today," he added.

Mehta reveals this film will be in Hindi and English. According to him, India is getting close to Hollywood style when it comes to making animation films.

"We were lacking in manpower and budget. We are now getting there (close to Hollywood) as we have a large man force. Also, budget is an issue. Their budget is 40-50 times more than India. But we are giving good quality animation now with films like "Motu Patlu King of Kings". We are arriving," he said.

"I think Indian animation is coming of age. This film ('Motu Patlu King of Kings') will be a turning point for animation in India," the director said
