Kalki 2898 AD: Deepika Padukone Reacts As Atlee Says 'I'm Your Biggest Fan' And Lauds Prabhas Starrer
Jawan director Atlee was all praises for Deepika Padukone, Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan after watching Kalki 2898 AD.

Deepika Padukone has thanked Jawan director Atlee for the praises he has heaped on Kalki 2898 AD. The Nag Ashwin directorial film was released recently in cinemas and has been receiving rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. Now, Atlee has also joined the bandwagon and called the film a visual treat.

Atlee took to his Instagram story and wrote, “Kalki was absolutely blown away by Ashwin’s incredible filmmaking and the high quality of the film. Hats off to you, brother! And a big shoutout to producer Swapna Dutt for the amazing production value. This film is truly stunning in every aspect.”

Prabhas sir, your performance was amazing. Deepika Padukone ma’am, I am your biggest fan, your work was so good. Amitabh Bachchan sir, you were at a god level in this film! Mass!… Kudos to the entire team. Best entertainment with great visual treat is Kalki,” he added. Deepika Padukone re-shared his story on her Instagram and wrote, “Thank you, sir!”

Nag Ashwin directed Kalki 2898 AD has set the box office on fire. Released on June 27, Kalki 2898 AD stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in pivotal roles. As per reports, Kalki 2898 AD has surpassed Rs 500 crore at the worldwide box office.

Kalki 2898 AD created history at the box office by becoming the third biggest opener in Indian cinema as it earned a massive Rs 191 crore globally on its opening day. With this huge day 1 collection, Kalki 2898 AD has surpassed the global opening records of KGF 2 (Rs 159 crore), Salaar (Rs 158 crore), Leo (Rs 142.75 crore), Sahoo (Rs 130 crore) and Jawan (Rs 129 crore). RRR still remains the highest Indian opener with Rs 223 crore collections, followed by Baahubali 2 which grossed over Rs 217 crore on its opening day.

Earlier, Ram Gopal Varma also lauded the producers of Kalki 2898 AD for entrusting Nag Ashwin with the project. He said that they should now prepare to “dig a deep well” to store all the money they will collect from the film and its sequel. Interestingly, Ram Gopal Varma also has a cameo appearance in the film. Taking to X, the filmmaker wrote, “KUDOS to @AshwiniDuttCh and @SwapnaDuttCh for taking a GIANT LEAP OF FAITH on @nagashwin7… Both father and daughter will need to dig a deep well to store the money they are collecting and will collect from PART 2 of #Kalki2898.”

Now, anticipation is high as reports of the film’s sequel have generated quite a buzz. As per reports, the sequel will delve deeper into Yaskin’s (Kamal Haasan) character and his true ambitions.
