Hina Khan, a TV actress known for her role in the popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Kasautii Zindagii Kay, recently made a shocking revelation that she has been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She is currently undergoing treatment and recently offered a glimpse of her first chemotherapy session right after attending an award show. Not just personally, but it seems like cancer has affected Hina’s professional life too. Days after announcing the heartbreaking news with her fans and admirers, it has been reported that Hina has been replaced by one of her upcoming projects.
According to a report by Times Now Hindi, the Damaged actress was supposed to play a lawyer in Disney+ Hotstar’s upcoming courtroom drama film Raapchik Reeta. Post her breast cancer diagnosis, she was replaced by another leading actress.
Reportedly, Hina has been replaced by The Kerala Story actress Adah Sharma in the mystery thriller series. However, neither the makers nor the actress has confirmed the update yet.
Soon after the reports surfaced online, Hina’s fans expressed their disappointment. An X user wrote, “She’s (Hina) battling cancer they couldn’t wait for her to recover?? That’s so cruel.”

Hina shared the news with her fans on June 28 with a long post on Instagram. She penned, “I want to share some important news with all the Hinaholics and everyone that loves and cares for me. I’ve been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Despite this diagnosis, I wish to tell everyone that I am doing well. I am strong, determined and committed to overcoming this disease. My treatment has already started and I am ready to do everything necessary to emerge from this even stronger.”
“I kindly ask for your respect and privacy during this time. I deeply appreciate your love, strength and blessings. Your personal experiences and supportive suggestions would mean the world to me as I navigate this journey. I, along with my family and loved ones, remain focused, determined and positive. With the grace of the almighty, we believe I will overcome this challenge and will be completely healthy. Please send your prayers blessings and love,” she added.
Friends and admirers have showered the actress with love and support since she made the announcement.
Hina was last seen in the Punjabi comedy film Shinda Shinda No Papa alongside Gippy Grewal.
