Director Cheran Condemns Ex-AIADMK Leader AV Raju's Derogatory Comments Against Trisha

Director Cheran condemned a former AIADMK leader AV Raju for his defamatory comments made during an interview. Raju alleged that the actress was taken to the hostel where AIADMK MLAs were residing in Kuvathur.

Not so long ago, AV Raju, the former Salem West Union AIADMK secretary, was expelled from the party. In an interview, he alleged that during the AIADMK MLAs’ stay at a private hotel in Kuvathur in 2017, actresses were brought in. Raju claimed that Trisha was taken to a resort by an MLA, in exchange for a certain amount of money.

The incident became viral on social media platforms. Director Cheran, who expressed his thoughts on the matter, stressed the importance of police intervention to deal with those spreading baseless defamation publicly. He also expressed optimism that the actors’ union would handle the situation responsibly.

Cheran tweeted about the same on social media. The caption of the post reads. “I strongly condemn it. The law and the police should take appropriate action against this person who has defamed the film industry by naming names in public without any support…@VishalKOfficial @Karthi_Offl. I hope the actors’ union will take appropriate action and response.”

Several social media users have commented on the post. One user wrote, “Similarly, Karunas also mentioned 3 years ago, in a competition law forum held at Vidalalaya to take action against him”. Another user added, “Sir, he seems to be speaking with evidence so don’t tarnish your reputation by advocating for these gods.” One user also commented, “First ask Trisha and Khushboo to condemn this matter.”

Last November, actor Mansoor Ali Khan made disrespectful comments about actress Trisha, his co-star in the film Leo. While promoting their movie, Mansoor’s remarks to the press included inappropriate statements about wanting to film exploitative scenes with Trisha.

Following this, the actress tweeted, “It’s disgusting to repeatedly see low lives and despicable human beings who will stoop down to any level to gain assured, necessary and severe action will be taken. Anything that needs to be said and done henceforth will be from my legal department.”

Trisha was last seen in Leo. The actress has a few films in the pipeline including Ram, Spirit, Thug Life, Brinda, Identity, The Bull, 1818, Bhogi, and Garjanai to name a few.
