Bigg Boss 18's Shilpa Shirodkar REFUSES To Take Any Family Member Inside BB House: 'Ann Bann Ho Jaati...'
South superstar Mahesh Babu's sister-in-law Shilpa Shirodkar reveals why she won’t bring family inside Bigg Boss 18 and shares insights on her journey.

Shilpa Shirodkar, a well-known face in the 90s and early 2000s, recently sat down for a rapid-fire round ahead of her Bigg Boss 18 journey. The actress, who has faced difficulties finding work in recent years, opened up about her mindset going into the house and the decisions she’s made for the show.

When asked about her biggest strength and weakness, Shilpa told Bollywood Hungama, “I think my strength is that I love making people laugh. I like to keep things light and positive. But that could also be my weakness because sometimes people take advantage of that,” she said.

Shilpa was then asked who she would want to take with her into the Bigg Boss house. Rather than naming any family members or previous contestants, she emphasised her focus on building new relationships. “I don’t want to take anyone familiar with me. I want to create new bonds with the 16 contestants. When you bring people you already know, ‘ann bann zyada ho jaati hai,’” she explained.

Shilpa also addressed the responsibilities in the Bigg Boss house and expressed that she’s ready to tackle anything. “I’ve lived abroad for most of my life, so handling daily chores won’t be a problem. I’m going in with the mindset that I have to do everything,” she confidently stated.

When asked which actor from the current generation she would like to debut with if given the chance, Shilpa quickly named Ranveer Singh.

Shilpa, the sister of actress Namrata Shirodkar and sister-in-law to superstar Mahesh Babu, also spoke about her decision to join the reality show. “I’m an actor by profession, and this is my job. When traditional acting roles weren’t coming my way, I thought, why not Bigg Boss? It’s a platform that can open doors,” she told Indian Express.com.

Addressing the common stereotype about actors who participate in Bigg Boss, Shilpa said, “I have always said that yes I was looking for work before Bigg Boss, but nobody answers your phone and if they do, they diplomatically say that nothing is happening as of now in the industry. They shall call back when there is an opportunity, this has happened with me of late. I am an actor, I want to work, for me, Bigg Boss is also work. People look at it differently, but it’s a job. My goal to do this is to get more work afterward, I am not being fake or diplomatic here, I was seeking work, but people were not ready to even meet me.”
