Avinash Sachdev Opens Up On His Breakup With Rubina Dilaik After 12 Years: 'We Tend To Commit Mistakes'

War-of-words between Avinash Sachdev and Abhinav Shukla has been going on for quite some time now. It all started after Avinash talked about his former girlfriend and Abhinav’s wife, Rubina and called her “insecure”. While Abhinav hit back at Avinash, the latter has also reacted to him now.

In a recent interview, Avinash Sachdev reacted to Abhinav Shukla slamming him as he also opened up about his breakup with Rubina Dilaik. The Bigg Boss OTT contestant shared that he and Rubina were “more than teenagers” when they were in a relationship and therefore “tend to make mistakes”.

“I said these things about Rubina when I came out of Bigg Boss OTT 2. I was questioned about my relationship with her. Our breakup happened in 2012. I was 25 then and Rubina was 22. We were like more than teenagers and almost grown-ups. I have already mentioned that it was such an age that we tend to commit mistakes. I said all this in August 2023, why is Shuklaji reacting now? If he were to react to it, he must have done it then only,” he told TellyChakkar as quoted by Pinkvilla.

Avinash further lashed out at Abhinav for “be a man” advice and added, “Had I been in his place, I would have first searched when and where the comment was passed. If he is telling me to be a man, I would like to tell him ‘don’t be an intrusive man’ and find out when the remark was made before saying anything.”

For the unversed, just a few days back, Abhinav Shukla reacted to Avinash Sachdev calling Rubina Dilaik “possessive and insecure”. He urged everyone not to talk about their past relationship once it is over “because it does not help”. Abhinav argued that he does not pay attention to what Avinash says because he “can’t tell me that she is like that.” He further called Avinash’s comment “trivial” and argued that there is no point talking about the past.

“It’s a very trivial thing. I have worked with him and I find him like an okay guy. There is no point in talking about the past and even if he is doing it, I don’t care. I have dated women in this city and if somebody comes to know who all, they will be shocked because I have never spoken a word about them and I will never even speak because it’s their dignity,” he said in an interview with Subhojit Ghosh.

Rubina Dilaik and Avinash Sachdev met on the sets of their 2008 show Choti Bahu and fell in love with each other. It was Rubina’s debut show. The two dated for some time but then broke up. The actress then started to date Abhinav Shukla and married him in June 2018. Last year, the couple embraced parenthood and welcomed their twin daughters.
