Woman Maoist arrested

GUNTUR: The Vinukonda police arrested former  CPI (Maoist) Dalam commander Tupakula Ramanujamma alias Santha at Kondrumutla crossroads in Ipur mandal on Monday. Some revolutionary literature was seized from her. Santha who came out of the extremist outfit a year ago due to ill-health, was living at her native village Tellagarika in Achampet mandal, Narasaraopet DSP Venkatrama Reddy said.An accused in more than 10 cases, she carried a reward of Rs 5 lakh on her head. Santha who joined the extremist outfit 18 years ago, worked in Vizag, Srikakulam, Guntur and Malkangiri as dalam commander.
