Shane Warne said there was no worry about surgery on his bowling shoulder and he was not doubtful for the Ashes.

Melbourne: Spin wizard Shane Warne said there was no worry about surgery on his bowling shoulder and he was not doubtful for the next summer Ashes series.

Warne, who returned to Australia for a two-week break, damaged his right bicep on Australia's tour of Bangladesh in April, causing pain in the shoulder, but has been bowling without discomfort during his county stint with Hampshire in England.

Test cricket's leading wicket-taker said he would check-in with surgeon Greg Hoy for precautionary reasons during his short visit.

"It's a check-up, that's all it is," he said was quoted as saying by The Daily Telegraph.

"If I needed surgery, I would have had it before I went to Hampshire. It feels really strong. Part of the deal when I went over was to allow six to eight weeks and then he (Hoy) would have a look at it just to make sure it is all well."

The leg spinner has 30 wickets averaging 19.03 in six first-class games this season so far, pointing out he has averaged a modest 37 overs per game, and 15 at 17.06 in seven One-Day matches.
