TTD told to renovate old temples

TIRUPATI: AP State Legislative Assembly Committee on Public Sector Undertakings urged the TTD to renovate ancient temples in rural areas.The committee held a meeting with PSUs, including APSRTC, AP Tourism,, AP Beverages Corporation, AP Mineral Development Corporation, SPDCL and also TTD today. Committee chairman A Prabhakar Reddy said the committee has  directed the TTD to construct temples and Kalyana Mandapams in villages.He said TTD EO LV Subramanyam has said a decision on this will be taken at the trust board meeting.Reddy said the RTC was told to improve facilities in bus stands, particularly toilets facilities. The committee also wanted the RTC to construct its own guest houses for passengers. The RTC officials told the committee that a proposal for construction of a guest house at Alipiri was under consideration. Panel members A Pravinkumar Reddy, L Venkata Swamy, A Rajendra, K Meenakshi Naidu, M Sridhar Krishna Reddy, P Sriramulu, Sridhar and others were also present.
