Students locked in school, Head Mistres booked

NAMAKKAL: In a bizarre incident, 26 students of an elementary school here  were locked inside their institution by the Head Mistress when she went out on Thursday.According to sources, the incident came to light when Subramaniam, a parent, went to the school in Molassi in the district to pick up his daughter.Subramaniam was shocked to see the students locked inside the school. On getting information, police rushed to the school and freed the children.It is said that the school had only two teachers, including the Head Mistress . On Thursday, the teacher was on leave. When Malliga went to her house in a nearby area, she locked the school to ensure that the children did not go out, the sources added. The Molassi police have booked Malliga under sections 342 and 506(i) of IPC.
