Tamil Nadu Police has nabbed an alleged killer who was absconding for seven years after her posted his selfie on Facebook.
The accused identified as 45-year-old Mani had killed his wife in August 2009 following a fight as he suspected her of cheating on him. The murder took place in Ariyalur district of Tamil Nadu.
He fled to Chennai, took on a new identity as 'Khandasamy' and worked in a restaurant at Tondiarpet.
But one of his relatives in Ariyalur saw his photo on Facebook. He was later traced to the restaurant by his relatives.
Mani was taken into custody and later brought to Ariyalur on Wednesday and produced in the court of the judicial magistrate.
