HYDERABAD: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths nabbed a section officer in the Revenue department at Secretariat on Tuesday for demanding Rs 5,000 as bribe.A Badrinarayana Swamy demanded the money from a 79-year old K Janardhan of Warangal to process his pension papers. Following a complaint from Janardhan, ACB caught Badrinarayana and recovered money from him. Swami will be produced before Additional Special Judge, ACB officials said.Meanwhile in another case, an assistant engineer of Panchayat Raj department was sentenced to five years of rigorous imprisonment in a graft case by ACB court in Nellore on Tuesday. Alam Malyadri was also fined Rs 1 lakh. Earlier, ACB officials caught him for possessing disproportionate assets worth Rs 11 lakh.
