Ryots seek support

Farmers who participated in the monthly grievance meeting held on Friday pleaded before district administration for compensation towards the losses incurred after coconut trees were infected with eriophyid mites in the Natrampalli and Ambalur areas.

They said that the mite attack was spreading to many areas and asked the government to extend technical support to contain the spread of the disease.

Further, they expressed concern over pollution caused by industries.
