New Delhi: There was a special guest at the sets of Ashutosh Gowarikar's epic-drama Jodhaa Akbar in Jaipur this week.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje visited the film’s set at the Amer Palace in Jaipur.

The film, a major portion of which is being shot in Rajasthan, is the love story of Mughal emperor Akbar and his Rajput wife Jodhaa Bai.

Raje met the cast and crew of the film and spent some time watching the shoot.

The Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Rai starrer has been in trouble ever since shooting began in Rajasthan.

The film earned controversy when an animals rights group filed a police complaint and a public suit against the film unit in Jaipur, alleging cruelty against animals.

Then there was a Rajput group called the Karni Sena that alleged that Gowarikar is tampering with history.

The Karni Sena has taken Gowarikar to court over Jodhaa Bai being portrayed as Akbar's wife—the group claims she was actually the Mughal emperor’s daughter-in-law.

As of now the matter is up for hearing on December 6 when Gowariker will have to file his reply before the court.

The first schedule of 45 days is being shot in Jaipur. The second schedule will start in January 2007 at ND Studios, Karjat after which the principal shooting of the film will be over.
