CHENNAI: The government of Tamil Nadu on Wednesday replaced Hans Raj Verma, chief of the State electricity generation, distribution and transmission corporations with Rajeev Ranjan who had been holding the post of Principal Secretary and Commissioner of Sugar, besides being the CMD of TN Sugar Corporation Limited.Hans Raj was principal secretary and CMD, TNEB Ltd, TN Distribution and Generation Corporation (TANGEDCO) and chairman, TN Transmission Corporation (TANTRANSCO) Limited.He is the third chief of the EB to be transferred since the AIADMK assumed power in May. Post polls, CP Singh, who held the post for over two years during the DMK regime, was replaced by Swaran Singh and he continued in the job only for a week. On May 28, Hans Raj Verma assumed office.Verma has been appointed as the MD of the TN Small Industries Corporation Limited.Among the other IAS officers who were transferred is T S Sridhar, serving as additional chief secretary in the MSME Department. He has been shifted to the School Education Department in the same grade.D Vivekanandan, Secretary, State Human Rights Commission, is the new MD for the Arasu Cable TV Corporation. M Jayaraman, will replace Vivekanandan at the Human Rights body.M Veera Shanmugha Moni, MD, TN Civil Supplies Corporation, has been posted as Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts in the place of K Manivasan.Mohan Pyare, Principal Secretary, Chairman and MD, TN Small Industries Development Corporation, has been transferred as Principal Secretary, Labour, replacing CV Sankar.Jasbir Singh Bajaj, Principal Secretary and additional resident commissioner, TN House, New Delhi, has been posted as resident commissioner in the place of B Anand who will now be heading the TN Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCO).N Mathivanan, Industries Commissioner, has been posted as MD, TN Sugar Corporation Ltd. Niranjan Mardi, CMD, SIPCOT, will now be the Principal Secretary, MSME Department. In all, 22 officials were transferred.
