Aluva: Security personnel went on a tizzy as Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi, stopped his vencile in front of a wayside hotel here and had a taste of kerala delicacies.
Gandhi, who was in kochi to attend the National meeting of the Youth Congress, was on his way to the airport to catch a flight to Delhi, when he stopped at the shop at nearby Desom.
Police convoy escorting him had to stop abruptly as the AICC General secretary stepped out of his vehicle and went to the hotel com bakery on the side of the National Highway.
Seeing a huge group of police personnel coming to his bakery, the owner Ashokan was shocked, but broke into smiles as he found Rahul Gandhi, along with them entering his bakery.
Rahul went inside the hotel and asked for Cool Drinks and Snacks asked Ashokan about his business and family members.
Asokan said he joy knew no bounds as after spending few minutes, the congress leader also asked him to pack some snacks.
Rahul Gandhi also did not disappoint children who had gathered to give him flowers and collect his autograph near the santigiri ashram where the conference was held.
Seeing the children, Gandhi stopped his vehicle and asked the SPG personnel to bring some of them to him. Sahana, Sadiq and Shafi gave him flowers and took autograph from him before returning.
