The notice was issued after a PIL was filed in the court against illegal hookah bars in the capital city.
New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued a notice to the Delhi Government, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and the NDMC on public smoking after a PIL was filed with the court against illegal hookah bars.
The PIL had pointed out that there are bars in Delhi without license to serve hookah.
World Lung Foundation had asked that smoking in public places should be banned.
The government is expected to file a reply within four weeks.
