Protest against Reddys arrest

BANGALORE: Members of the Reddy Swabhimana Samiti will hold a protest against the arrest of mining baron and former minister G Janardhana Reddy on September 15 in front of the Town Hall.C Rama Reddy, president of the Samiti, told reporters here that the arrest of Reddy is not justified and that he is innocent until proven guilty in the court of law. “The judiciary has not pronounced him guilty. It is only on the basis of CBI and Lokayukta investigative reports that he has been arrested,” he said.Expressing anger at the arrest, Rama Reddy alleged that several others involved in the mining scam were walking free.“Why a member of the Reddy community was arrested when several others are involved?” he questioned.
