Proteas not light weight: Dravid
South Africa is unbeaten in the ODIs since January and are currently number two in the ICC rankings.

New Delhi: After crushing Sri Lanka 6-1, India is now gearing up to face South Africa in a five-match ODI series.

Despite the convincing victory against the Lankans, the Indian team management is not taking the second ranked team in the world lightly.

South Africans have not lost a single ODI since January this year and have also won eight of their last 13 matches against India.

"We are aware of their unbeaten record and we are not taking them lightly," says Rahul Dravid.

But the Proteas are without some of their most experienced members.

Herschelle Gibbs and Nicky Boje have opted out of the Indian tour and the team will have an uphill task of playing on the spin-friendly tracks.

The hosts, on the other hand need to fight complacency warns Dravid

"Sri Lanka has been beaten 6-1, but we would continue to focus and won't be complacent," says Dravid

Meanwhile a clean sweep against the visitors can guarantee India a third place finish in the ICC rankings.
