HYDERABAD: Rebel TDP MLA S Venugopala Chary has filed a petition in the High Court with a request to direct the Kiran Kumar Reddy government to prove its strength in the state Assembly as several MLAs had resigned to their posts in recent times.The petition would come for hearing on Wednesday.Talking to Express over phone, Venugopala Chary remarked that the Congress government has lost its strength.The chief minister has no moral right to continue as the government slipped into minority following resignation of several MLAs to the posts.It may be recalled that as many as 28 MLAs who included 27 Congress and one PRP, 33 Telangana TDP, four rebel TDP, two Congress and one associate member had resigned to their posts and were pending before Speaker Nadendla Manohar for necessary action.HC Adjourns Plea Against NaiduHYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh High Court has adjourned the writ petition filed by Pulivendula MLA YS Vijayamma seeking a CBI probe into the assets of TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu who allegedly amassed illegal wealth.A division bench of justice Ghulam Mohammad and justice Noothi Rammohana Rao heard the case and adjourned it.The date of next hearing will be announced later.Appearing on behalf of Vijayamma, advocate Sushil Kumar submitted to the High Court that Chandrababu Naidu should be tried for breach of trust as he caused a loss of `8,000-10,000 crore to the State exchequer through illegal allotment of valuable lands to IMG Bharatha at a cheap price.He also alleged that the former chief minister had sanctioned the KG Basin project to Reliance company to benefit his close associates.The petitioner stated that all evidences against Chandrababu Naidu would be presented before the court.
