New Delhi: Pakistan's lie on one of the India's most wanted terrorists and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim has been nailed yet again. A report in English daily 'Hindustan Times' suggests that Indian security agencies have been able to gather evidence that Dawood is living in the port city of Karachi in Pakistan.
According to the report Dawood and his family are based in the upscale Clifton neighborhood of Karachi. The report adds that security agencies have accessed a copy of a telephone bill dated April 2015 in the name of Dawood's wife Mehjabeen Shaikh with Karachi as the official address.
The agencies reportedly also have a copy of Dawood's Pakistani passport in which he's seen a clean shaven man.
According to the report, Dawood 's close aides like Jabir Saddiq, Jawaid Chotani and Mumbai blasts accused Javed Patel alias Chikna are also based in Pakistan and are frequent visitors to Dubai.
The revelations came even as National Security Advisor-level talks between India and Pakistan hang in balance. India is planning to raise five major terror related issues with Pakistan and back it with hard evidence. Dawood is also on the agenda.
India's NSA Ajit Doval will confront his Pakistani counterpart Sartaj Aziz with three specific addresses of Dawood and details of his three Pakistani passports. Dawood is the prime accused in the 1993 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai in which at least 257 people were killed and hundreds injured.
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Siddharth Nath Singh said, "'After the dossier came in today's newspaper on Dawood Ibrahim, Pakistan should come out of the denial mode now. It is in the interest of Pakistan to walk the talks. They should come in the NSA talks. I think they will come for the talks."
